Vegetables Starts – 50% off!
We still have lots of vegetable starts to fill your garden with. Now that summer has arrived we would like to help you with that. Our vegetables are $1.95 and $3.95 for organic starts. After 50% off, you can’t beat the price. In the organic selection we have available; Straight Eight Cucumbers and Spaghetti Squash. Available in the $1.95 selection are: Squashes – Yellow Crookneck, Acorn, Bush Delicata, Butternut and eight ball zucchini, and lots of Burpless Cucumbers. Peppers – Sweet Banana, Thai Hot, Mohawk (Sweet), Apache, and Jalapeno. Finally the variety of Tomatoes available are: Tumbling Tom Yellow, Sunny Goliath, Super Fantastic, Celebrity, and Early Girl.

One is planted with two Black Beauty Zucchini plants that have been producing fruit for weeks now and are loaded with more for you to enjoy. Another Earthbox is planted with a Sweet Banana Pepper, a Burpless Cucumber, and a large Beefsteak Tomato plant that is already 3 feet tall. The last Earthbox has an Early Girl Tomato, a Burpless Cucumber, a Jalapeno and a Mohawk Pepper planted together. If you don’t like the combinations we’ve started then you can plant your own Earthbox with exactly what you want. We have a special; when you buy an Earthbox, a 2 cubic foot bag of potting soil and vegetable starts you will receive 20% off of all three items.

Acid Planting Mix
Avid gardners for every $50.00 purchase of evergreen trees or shrubs receive a free bag of Gardner and Bloome acid planting mix, valued at $7.95. It is important to add a soil amendment every time you plant a new shrub or tree. By combining the acid planting mix and the natural soil, you provide a healthy mix for the new plant. The acid planting mix will help adjust the soil to the condition that is most preferred by the evergreens.
In Central Oregon it is important to provide the plants with added composted matter every year. This helps improve moisture retention while loosing compacted soils and maintaining the pH levels desired by the evergreen plants. If you have left over planting mix you can top dress around established plants for healthy soil maintenance.
When planting evergreen trees or shrubs, add the acid planting mix to provide desired soil conditions for the plants.
